SEACOURT PRINT WORKSHOP offers printmaking courses over 8-week periods, as well as weekend courses. Courses are suitable for beginners and cost £80 each, payable in advance. Fees include tuition & use of facilities. Some supplies, such as inks, newsprint, cartridge paper, tissue paper and tools are provided free of charge. Materials such as quality printmaking papers, printing plates, card, etc.are available to purchase.

   
  8-Week Printmaking Courses (April 2008) 
 
Relief Printmaking
(6 places / Catherine Thompson, tutor) £80
Tuesday mornings 8th April - 27th May 10.00 AM –12.30 PM
This course explores forms of relief printing including lino,collagraphs,drypoint, carborundum and monoprints, and is tailored to individual needs.
   
  General Printmaking
(10 places / Margaret Arthur and Alison McCormick, tutors) £80
Tuesday evenings 8th April - 27th May 7.00—9.30 PM

This introductory course explores a variety of printmaking techniques, including drypoin, etching, collagraphs and monoprints, and is tailored to individual needs.
   
  Weekend Printmaking Courses
   
  Photo-Intaglio (fully booked)
(5 places / Jill McKeown, tutor) £80
Saturday & Sunday 10.00 AM - 4.00 PM 19th and 20th April

This technique enables photo or hand-drawn images to be exposed to a metal plate treated with a photopolymer coating; once developed, it can be printed through an etching press.
  Photo-Intaglio
(5 places / Jill McKeown, tutor) £80
Saturday & Sunday 10.00 AM - 4.00 PM 31st May and 1st June

This technique enables photo or hand-drawn images to be exposed to a metal plate treated with a photopolymer coating; once developed, it can be printed through an etching press.
  Screen-printing
(8 places / Penny Brewill, tutor) £80
Saturday & Sunday 10.00 AM - 4.00 PM 26th and 27th April

Discover how to create screenprints with photographic or hand-drawn images using water based inks. This popular stencil process is restricted to eight places so book early to avoid disappointment.

: Programme subject to change without notice. Courses are offered on a first come, first served basis, and your place on a course may be reserved only after payment is received. There is a £10 cancellation fee. Confirmed course members will receive further information prior to the start of the course. Seacourt maintains a waiting list of people interested in courses; in the event that places become available, those on the list will be contacted.
