Debbie was the recieptient of SPW's Graduate Programme in 2006. Her prints encompass ideas of memory and loss with undertones of spirituality which is a reflection of personal rather than universal significance. She incorporates early symbolism and lettering which allows her to draw attention to this concept of the passing of time. Scratched surfaces seem to suggest fragments of memories, fading into the past. She is also fascinated with Bible prophecy, the unravelling of mathematical codes within the written word and many related themes. These ciphers are explored and developed using photographic processes through which she aims to produce images that evoke feelings of historical truth and spiritual revelation.
