I was instinctively attracted to the abstract patterns and designs woven into the garments or decorating the walls of some dwellings.
Echoes of these patterns can be seen in ancient cultures of Europe such as exists at Newgrange in Ireland and in abstract art works such as Brancusi’s “Endless Column”.
