Woodblock weekend

For many years Seacourt Print Workshop has provided opportunities for artists to visit and work at its Bangor based facility. The exchange of ideas and approaches to printmaking has been inspiring to its members and beneficial to the wider community with participating artists delivering public classes. This year Japanese artist Yuka Sagawa visited during July. Sagawa graduated from Nihon University, College of Art in 2003 and then gained a Master in Fine Art at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music in 2006. She has just graduated from the University of Vienna. She was recipient of the Sumio Kawakami woodcutprint award in both 2005 and 2007.
