Participation: Classes and Workshops
Seacourt is a universally accessible facility. We cater for all levels of age and ability. Our facilitators are highly skilled professional artists who pride themselves on providing a supportive, structured process through which to learn new skills and express yourself. We provide weekly, weekend and one-day workshops suitable for beginners. groups of five or more can request their own workshop designed to their own interests. Fees include tuition and use of facilities. Some supplies, such as inks, tissue paper and use of tools are provided free of charge. Materials such as quality printmaking papers, printing plates, card, etc. are available to purchase.
Seacourt offers a host of print activities for Community Groups, Health Support Groups and Inter cultural Groups. Printmaking workshops can have a number of positive effects. For the individual they can help you relax and take your mind off the daily grind, improving your sense of well-being in the process. For groups they can help in team building and creating a shared vision for the future. For communities they can provide a way to celebrate and share cultural values They can give everyone a means of expressing what is important to them and enable them to communicate of this to others.
