Seacourt Print Workshop’s Primary School Programme introduces pupils to a range of printmaking experiences. These experiences can be selected from a number of existing creativity workshops or designed specifically for your pupils. Workshops can be delivered to support the curriculum or delivered after school to cover areas additional to the curriculum.
POST PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Seacourt artist will visit your school and introduce pupils to a print technique of your choice. Pupils will get hands on experience of preparing a plate, inking the plate and pulling a proof.
A LEVEL PROGRAMME
Seacourt Print Workshop’s ‘A’ Level programme enables participants to learn new skills from professional printmakers in a professional environment. Participants have the opportunity to explore the use of line, tone and colour as a means of creative expression. Participants complete a selection of prints that display technical competence, idea generation and aesthetic development.
REGIONAL COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
Seacourt Print Workshop’s F.E. Programme enables participants to learn new skills in copper sulphate etching of aluminium or waterless lithography. Both techniques have been developed under the banner of non-toxic processes. Seacourt Print Workshop was the first studio in Ireland to adopt these as part of its ongoing research into safer printmaking. The workshops are delivered by professional printmakers in a professional environment. Our artists will provide the skills and enthusiasm to ensure students make the most of their visit to Seacourt Print Workshop.
